The Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, Senator Basheer Lado, CON, has assured Nigerians that the proposed tax reform Bills undergoing a public hearing at the National Assembly will drive economic growth and enhance the standard of living.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by a delegation of professors, scholars, and commissioners from Kano State, Senator Lado reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to establishing a fair, transparent, and growth-oriented tax system.
“This visit underscores your dedication to Nigeria’s economic future,” he stated. “I want to reassure all Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has the nation’s best interests at heart. These reforms will foster fairness, transparency, and economic expansion, ultimately attracting investment and improving livelihoods.”
The delegation, led by renowned economist Dr. Muhammed Sagagi and accompanied by Professor Auwal Yadudu and other distinguished members, shared insights on the tax reforms, emphasizing the need for inclusive policies to ensure sustainable development.
Senator Lado further assured them that the National Assembly, under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, is committed to addressing the reforms with the seriousness they deserve.
