FG Boosts Awareness on Life Assurance Policy for Civil Servants

The Federal Government has intensified efforts to promote awareness and improve the implementation of its Group Life Assurance Policybfor federal civil servants.

Thia is as the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), in collaboration with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), held a capacity-building workshop in Abuja aimed at public sector stakeholders.

In a statement, NAICOM says the event brought together representatives from various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to clarify the benefits, processes, and responsibilities embedded in the policy.

Speaking at the event, the Head of the Civil Service, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, represented by Oyekunle Patience, describes life insurance as a key pillar of civil servant welfare.

She commends President Bola Tinubu for sustaining the policy’s annuity component and praised NAICOM’s role in strengthening stakeholder capacity.

For NAICOM Commissioner for Insurance, Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, represented by Deputy Commissioner Ekerete Ola Gam-Ikon, reiterates the commission’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and improved benefits delivery.

The workshop is part of a broader strategy to enhance understanding of the policy and ensure more effective execution across the federal civil service.
