CP Dantawaye Miller Assumes Duty as New FCT Commissioner of Police

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced the assumption of CP Dantawaye Miller as its 34th Commissioner of Police.

According to a statement by SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, he takes over from CP Ajao S. Adewale, who has been redeployed for another assignment by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.

A career officer with over 20 years of service, CP Miller hails from Kajuru LGA, Kaduna State, and holds degrees in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University and the University of Ilorin.

He has served in various command and strategic roles, including Escort Commander to a former President, Assistant Commissioner (Operations) FCT, and Commissioner of Police, Kogi State.

On assumption of duty, CP Miller pledged to strengthen community policing, build on existing security frameworks and ensure the safety of all residents in the FCT.

“We will sustain proactive policing and deepen collaboration with residents to maintain peace,” he said.
