Actress Toyin Abraham has reached a major milestone in her career as her film, Oversabi Aunty, surpasses ₦1 billion at the Nigerian box office.
The achievement marks the first time Abraham has crossed the ₦1 billion earnings threshold. The film has also emerged as the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time.
Released in December 2025, Oversabi Aunty set another industry record by becoming the first directorial debut in Nollywood to reach the ₦1 billion mark.
Film distributor FilmOne described the feat as historic, commending the film’s strong commercial performance and its significance for the growth of the Nigerian film industry.
Reacting to the milestone, Toyin Abraham expressed gratitude to her fans, cast, and production team, as well as Nigerians for their support.
“Thank you, everyone. I’m short of words. Oversabi Aunty to the world and still showing in cinemas near you. My first directorial debut on the big screen. Thank you, thank you, thank you,” she said.
