The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has created a new advisory role to address sexual harassment in the film industry and appointed actress and reality TV star, Tega Dominic, to the position.

Dominic, a former Big Brother Naija housemate, was named Special Adviser on Sexual Harassment to the AGN national president-elect.

She confirmed the appointment by sharing her official letter on Instagram and formally accepting the role.

Part of the letter read: “This is to gladly inform you of your appointment as Special Adviser (SA) on Sexual Harassment to the National President-Elect, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).”

The Guild said the new office is aimed at strengthening internal safeguards and promoting ethical conduct within Nollywood.

According to AGN, the adviser will be responsible for developing and implementing anti-harassment policies, promoting safe working environments, and establishing clear mechanisms for reporting, investigating and resolving cases of sexual harassment among members.
