NILDS DG Felicitates Christians at Easter, Urges Prayers for Nigeria

The Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, Abubakar Sulaiman, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across the country, urging them to pray for Nigeria’s peace and progress.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, the NILDS boss describes Easter as a deeply significant period in Christendom, symbolising sacrifice, renewal, and victory of light over darkness.

He noted that the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ represent enduring lessons of selflessness, hope, and triumph over adversity, which Nigerians should emulate in their daily lives.

Sulaiman called on Christians to imbibe these values by promoting national unity, peace, charity, fairness, and peaceful coexistence across the country.

While wishing Christians a joyful and fulfilling celebration, the former Minister of National Planning also urged them to offer special prayers for Nigeria, particularly as the nation approaches another election cycle.

He stressed the need for divine guidance and collective commitment to ensure peace, progress, and prosperity for the country.

The NILDS DG reaffirmed the importance of spiritual reflection during the Easter season, encouraging citizens to contribute meaningfully to nation-building through acts of compassion and tolerance.
