Iloenyosi Builds NFF Campaign with Regional Appointments

By Arinzechi Chukwunonso

Former Super Eagles defender and football administrator, Chikelue Iloenyosi, who also serves as Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association, has stepped up his campaign for a seat on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Board representing the South East zone with the unveiling of key regional coordinators.

The appointments are part of a broader strategy to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and build a unified support base ahead of the upcoming NFF elections.

For the South West region, Iloenyosi has named Ayodele Thomas as campaign coordinator. Thomas is a former Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) board member, FIFA-licensed football agent, and Chief Executive Officer of TopPro Management.

His extensive experience in football administration and player management is expected to enhance campaign organisation and outreach in the region.

In the South East, the role has been assigned to Olisa Onuchukwu, an ex-international player and current Secretary General of the All Nigerian Football Players Union (ANFPU).

His appointment brings strong player representation and union leadership experience into the campaign structure.

Iloenyosi, who is contesting for a place on the NFF Board to represent the South East, says the appointments reflect his commitment to inclusivity, structured engagement, and wider stakeholder participation in Nigerian football governance.

The campaign team believes the blend of administrative expertise and former players’ influence will strengthen its grassroots reach and boost momentum ahead of the electoral process.
