The three tiers of government have shared N2.338 trillion naira as distributable revenue from the Federation Account for August 2026.
This is contained in a communique issued by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation after the September meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) in Abuja.
Of the total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received N804.978 billion, while the 36 states received N794.313 billion.
The 774 local government councils received N555.142 billion.
The oil-producing states also received N184.388 billion as 13 per cent derivation revenue.
The communique further revealed that N125.142 billion was deducted as the cost of collection.
It added that N1.221 trillion was set aside for transfers, refunds and savings before the balance was distributed.
