The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, on Sunday distributed 30 vehicles to former leaders and support groups of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Kaduna State.
This was alongside 850 motorcycles for teachers, clerics, polling unit heads, supporter groups and security personnel.

The intervention, carried out across the 23 local government areas, is aimed at improving mobility, service delivery and community access for beneficiaries.
Speaker Abbas also announced a ₦15 million monthly donation to the Old CPC Support Group in Kaduna State to promote the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in 2027.
“I want to make it clear that this support is for the Old CPC Support Group to promote only the continuity of two people: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. Please don’t promote anybody else, including myself,” he told the group.

“This monthly support will come from this February until you reelect President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani next year, In Sha Allah.”
The Speaker noted that the vehicles presented to the Old CPC structure were in recognition of loyalty, sacrifice and continuity of the political tradition that helped build the APC.
He described strong political structures as essential for mobilisation, stability and governance.
On the wider impact of the intervention, Abbas said the motorcycles and vehicles form part of an integrated empowerment approach focused on building capacity and strengthening education, security, political participation and youth development.
He explained that the gesture aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises economic recovery, stability and inclusive growth.

He also commended Governor Uba Sani for sustained coordination between federal and state levels to maintain peace and development in Kaduna.
Earlier on Friday, Abbas had provided financial grants to 2,400 people in his constituency as part of his ongoing empowerment drive.
Governor Uba Sani, who attended the event, said the interventions would uplift communities, promote self-reliance and reduce unemployment.
He described Speaker Abbas as a leader whose actions consistently demonstrate impact and commitment to Kaduna’s development.
He urged beneficiaries to ensure the items translate into improved livelihoods.
