The Anambra State Football Association (Anambra FA) has opened discussions with Dr Lilong Nigeria Limited on a strategic partnership aimed atr supporting football development and enhancing the visibility of the company across the state.
The proposed partnership followed a meeting between the Chairman of the Anambra State FA, Chikelue Iloenyosi, and the management of Dr Lilong, a company the Association describes as a growing brand with a strong interest in building its presence and engaging with communities in Nigeria.
Under the proposed arrangement, Dr Lilong would support the activities of the Association, while the Anambra FA would provide valuable visibility for the company through branding on team jerseys, football events and billboards across the state.
The partnership is expected to create a mutually beneficial platform, allowing Dr Lilong to connect with a wider audience through the popularity of football, while providing the Association with additional support to strengthen its programmes and competitions.
Speaking on the discussions, Iloenyosi said the Anambra FA was deliberately seeking credible corporate partners capable of contributing to the growth of the game.
“Dr Lilong is a company we are happy to engage with because we see the potential of what this partnership can achieve. They have shown an encouraging interest in football and in building a stronger relationship with the people. For us, this is not just about putting a logo on a jersey; it is about creating a partnership where both sides grow, football benefits and the company gets the visibility it deserves.”
Iloenyosi added that football remains one of the most effective platforms for brands seeking meaningful engagement with young people and communities.
He said the Association would continue to welcome responsible corporate organisations willing to invest in football and contribute to the development of the sport in Anambra.
The proposed collaboration is expected to further strengthen the commercial outlook of Anambra football while giving Dr Lilong Nigeria Limited a broader platform to showcase its brand and deepen its presence within the state.
