CNS Spikers Defeat Customs 3–1 to Clinch Super Cup Title

CNS Spikers produced a spirited comeback to defeat the Nigeria Customs Service 3–1 and claim the men’s title at the 2025 Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Super Cup in Abuja.

After losing the opening set 21–25, CNS Spikers bounced back with renewed intensity and tactical discipline, winning the next three sets 25–18, 25–23 and 25–17 to seal the championship.

The victory further confirmed their dominance in Nigerian volleyball, coming on the back of their status as reigning CGC Volleyball Premier League champions.

In the women’s final, Nigeria Customs Service delivered a commanding performance, overwhelming COAS Spikers in straight sets (25–8, 25–15, 25–10) to lift the Super Cup trophy in emphatic fashion.

Earlier in the men’s third-place match, the Nigeria Correctional Service defeated Defence Spikers 3–1 (25–22, 25–18, 23–25, 25–23) to secure the bronze medal.

The women’s third-place playoff provided one of the tournament’s most thrilling encounters, as CNS Spikers edged Vipers Spikers 3–2 in a closely contested match (24–26, 25–21, 25–16, 17–25, 15–13).

The Super Cup concluded with impressive performances across both categories, underscoring the growing competitiveness and rising standard of volleyball in Nigeria under the Nigeria Volleyball Federation.
