Dangote Industries Limited has signed an agreement worth more than $800 million to expand its cement plant in Itori, Ogun State.
The expansion will increase the plant’s annual production capacity from six million to 12 million metric tonnes.
Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote and Sinoma International Engineering Co. Ltd. Chairman Lin Zhong signed the Memorandum of Understanding in Lagos.
The project represents a major investment in Nigeria’s manufacturing sector and is expected to strengthen the country’s position as one of Africa’s leading cement producers and exporters.
Once completed, the expanded facility will significantly increase cement production and support Nigeria’s growing role in the regional cement market.
