Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru says his administration is ready to welcome both foreign and local investors, describing the state as one of the safest and most attractive investment destinations in the South East region.
The governor made the statement on Sunday at the Government House Chapel in Abakaliki while briefing residents on his nine-day official working visit to China.
Nwifuru said the state delegation held productive meetings with top government officials and business leaders in China to attract investments that will boost Ebonyi’s economy and infrastructure.
“Our visit to China was very fruitful,” he said, adding that the delegation received a warm welcome from the provincial governments of Hunan and Jiangsu.
According to the governor, several Chinese government and business leaders expressed strong interest in investing in Ebonyi State to support its economic and infrastructural development.
Nwifuru attributed his administration’s achievements over the past three years to God’s grace, stakeholder collaboration, and the continued support of Ebonyi residents.
“We are not perfect, but we pray for more grace to keep working in the best interest of our state,” he said.
The governor also dismissed speculation about the 2027 general elections, urging residents to remain focused on the state’s development agenda.
“The wheel of governance is running smoothly till 2031,” Nwifuru said, encouraging citizens to remain confident in his administration’s long-term vision and continue praying for the state.
