FC Liberty International Academy has successfully concluded its 2026 Summer Development Camp in Karu, Abuja, with over 20 young footballers benefiting from a week-long intensive development programme.
The camp, which commenced on August 9 and ended on August 15, 2026, was held at the GSS Karu Playing Ground, providing the young players with valuable exposure to modern football techniques, tactics and trends.
Speaking after the successful conclusion of the camp, Academy Director and CAF C Licence coach, Kenny Owojori, thanked God for the success of the programme and commended the coaches for their commitment to developing the young players.
“We thank God for the successful conclusion of this camp. Our objective was to expose these young players to the latest trends and demands of modern football.”
Owojori, a former Technical Adviser of the defunct Goddosky FC of Anambra, said the knowledge and experience gained during the camp would have a positive impact on the players’ development and understanding of the game.
“The knowledge and experience gained during this one-week programme will positively shape the players’ development and understanding of the game. We believe they are better players after this camp.”
Among the coaches who trained the youngsters during the camp were Agada Paulinus, Head Coach of Ramzaki FC; Tijani Olarewaju; Coach Peace Ihu; Bob Oluwole; and former National U-15 Assistant Coach Ifeanyi Uba.
The Academy Director also called on sports lovers, organisations and individuals in Abuja to support FC Liberty International Academy as it continues with its youth development programmes.
“We appeal to sports lovers, organisations and individuals in Abuja to support the academy. With the right investment and opportunities, these young talents can reach greater heights.”
Owojori expressed appreciation to the parents for their continued support and encouragement, while also acknowledging the contributions of Alhaji Tejumola Abdulsalam, Chairman of Sallom Global Construction Company, and Alhaji Saleeman Yinus, CEO of Ramzaki Group of Companies.
“I sincerely appreciate the coaches, parents and our partners for their support and encouragement. Their contribution made this programme a success.”
The successful conclusion of the 2026 Summer Development Camp further reinforces FC Liberty International Academy’s commitment to identifying, nurturing and developing young football talents for the future.
