Kebbi Fishers BSC and Kada BSC made winning starts to the 2026 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Super 4 Finals after securing victories in Friday’s opening matches at Murtala Muhammed Square in Kaduna.
Three-time champions Kebbi Fishers defeated Super 4 debutants Niger BSC 5-2 in an entertaining opening encounter.
Niger BSC matched their more experienced opponents for much of the contest, with the game tied at 2-2 before Kebbi Fishers shifted gears in the latter stages.
The former champions scored three unanswered goals to seal a convincing victory, with Taiwo Adams and Hassan Abdullahi both scoring twice, while captain Ekene Obi completed the scoring for Kebbi.
Hassan Abubakar and Mustapha Olayinka scored Niger BSC’s two goals.
In the second fixture, hosts Kada BSC also began their campaign on a winning note, defeating Ibom BSC 4-2.
Kada raced into a 3-0 lead before Ibom mounted a comeback, with Aliyu Aliyu and Emma Okon finding the net to cut the deficit.
The Kaduna-based side responded with a fourth goal to restore their two-goal advantage and secure all three points.
Tanko Emmanuel was the star of the show for Kada with a brace, while Dozie Frank and James Mamman added one goal each.
The Super 4 action continues on Saturday with another double-header as Kebbi Fishers take on Ibom BSC, while Kada BSC face Niger BSC.
A four-team women’s football invitational tournament involving teams from Kaduna will also precede the beach soccer fixtures.
