NILDS DG Sulaiman Pays Tribute to Late NTA Broadcaster Abdulmalik

The Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of veteran broadcaster and former Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Ilorin staff, Abdulrahman Abdulmalik.

In a condolence message issued on Tuesday by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, Professor Sulaiman described the late broadcaster’s passing as a monumental loss to the Ilorin Emirate and the media community.

The NILDS boss paid tribute to Abdulmalik’s distinguished career, recalling his professionalism, dedication to duty, and strong commitment to due process.

He noted that the late broadcaster made a significant impact in the 1980s through his work on NTA Ilorin news presentations.

Professor Sulaiman highlighted Abdulmalik’s pursuit of knowledge beyond journalism, describing him as a man of uncommon determination who successfully transitioned into the legal profession.

According to him, the deceased fulfilled his ambition of becoming a lawyer and later served as a lecturer in the Faculty of Law at Kwara State University.

He extended his condolences to the family of the late Abdulmalik, his former colleagues at NTA Ilorin, members of the Faculty of Law at Kwara State University, and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin branch.

Professor Sulaiman also offered prayers for the repose of the deceased’s soul, asking Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
