Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has sacked all Directors-General (DGs) of government agencies and Technical Advisers ahead of his second-term inauguration.
The governor ordered the affected officials to hand over their responsibilities immediately and submit their handover notes to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
Oyebode disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists on behalf of the governor.
The decision came less than 24 hours after Oyebanji dissolved the State Executive Council, marking the completion of the disengagement process for political appointees in his administration.
However, the government retained a few appointees because of the nature of their assignments.
Oyebanji thanked the affected Directors-General and Technical Advisers for their commitment, support and contributions to his administration and the development of Ekiti State.
He also wished them success in their future endeavours.
