By Sofia Adenekan

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to commission the newly constructed Left-Hand Service Carriageway of the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) Stage II, from Ring Road I (RRI) Junction to Wasa Junction, on Friday, June 13, at 2:30 p.m.

In preparation for the event, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration has announced the temporary closure of the Apo-Wasa road to vehicular movement between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

The measure is aimed at ensuring security and smooth logistics during the commissioning ceremony.

Additionally, traders, mechanics, and other business operators within the Apo Mechanic Village have voluntarily agreed to shut down operations on Friday.

The decision, coordinated by their respective associations, is intended to show support for the project and to enable members to participate in the commissioning ceremony.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister Lere Olayinka.
