PSC Raises Alarm Over Fake Police Recruitment

Police Service Commission cautions Nigerians against falling victim to fake recruitment scams.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has dismissed an online advert claiming that recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force for 2025 has begun, describing it as false, fictitious, and diversionary.

Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, in a statement on Saturday, said the Commission has not commenced the process for the 2025 recruitment exercise and urged Nigerians, particularly youths seeking a career in the Police, to disregard the fake publication.

Ani stressed that the purported advert did not emanate from the Commission and does not reflect its official communication.

“For the umpteenth time, the Commission wishes to warn these disgruntled characters to desist from this dubious pastime and allow the Commission to run the recruitment exercise without unnecessary interference,” the statement read.

The PSC reassured that arrangements for the 2025 recruitment are at an advanced stage and will be conducted in a manner that is “credible, transparent, and equitable.”

It also appealed to applicants to be patient and await the official announcement, which will be issued directly by the Commission
