The annual tournament — which serves as the premier curtain-raiser for the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership — once again showcased emerging talent, tactical discipline, and fierce competition among Nigeria’s top women’s clubs.

Remo Stars Ladies were in irresistible form, producing the most dominant display of the day.

Their fluid attacking play and sharp finishing overwhelmed FCT Ladies, who struggled to contain the relentless offensive pressure.

With the win, Remo Stars solidified their status as one of the standout sides of this year’s edition, sending a clear message to their rivals ahead of the new NWFL Premiership campaign.

In one of the day’s most entertaining fixtures, Dannaz Ladies and Naija Ratels FC battled to a pulsating 2–2 draw.

The match saw both sides exchange goals in a game full of energy, pace, and tactical awareness. Despite Naija Ratels’ experience and attacking flair, Dannaz Ladies held their ground impressively, earning a valuable point that keeps them in contention for a semifinal slot.

The opening game of the day saw Ekiti Queens and Confluence Queens of Kogi play out a hard-fought 1–1 draw. Both teams displayed defensive resilience and midfield discipline, with neither side able to grab a decisive winner. The result leaves both teams searching for their first victory of the campaign as the tournament progresses.
