The Nigeria Beach Soccer National Team, the Super Sand Eagles, have been handed a challenging draw ahead of an upcoming four-nation international tournament, as they continue preparations for future global competitions.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed via its official X account that Nigeria will face regional rivals Ghana alongside European heavyweights England and Germany in the competition.
Scheduled to take place from May 8 to May 10, 2026, the tournament is expected to serve as a crucial preparatory platform for the Super Sand Eagles as they gear up for major international beach soccer engagements.
Nigeria will renew its rivalry with Ghana’s beach soccer side, while also testing its strength against technically sound and physically disciplined teams from England and Germany—nations known for their growing influence in beach soccer on the global stage.
The NFF expressed optimism that the high-level fixtures will provide the team with valuable exposure, improve cohesion, and sharpen tactical awareness ahead of more demanding assignments.
With a blend of experience and emerging talent in the squad, the Super Sand Eagles will be aiming to make a strong statement and build momentum as they continue their quest to re-establish themselves among the elite teams in international beach soccer
