President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to extending quality infrastructure to every part of Nigeria, declaring that no community will be left behind in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The President made the pledge on Friday while commissioning the reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, the final project in the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s 31-project commissioning programme held over 28 days to mark the third anniversary of his administration.
Represented by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Tinubu described the completion of the commissioning exercise as proof that his administration is translating promises into visible development.
“This is more than the opening of a road. It is evidence that our Renewed Hope Agenda is delivering real, impactful projects that improve the lives of Nigerians,” he said.
The President noted that residents of Kubwa and neighbouring communities had endured years of poor roads, flooding and traffic congestion, adding that the reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road would ease movement, reduce travel time, improve access to the Outer Northern Expressway and stimulate economic activities.
He stressed that improved infrastructure would also strengthen security, enhance emergency response and create opportunities for businesses, farmers and commuters.
Tinubu commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, for driving what he described as a remarkable transformation of Abuja through focused leadership and accountable governance.
“Our vision is complete inclusion. Development will not be limited to the city centre. Satellite towns, suburbs and rural communities deserve the same quality infrastructure, and we will continue to deliver it,” the President said.
He also urged residents to protect public facilities from vandalism, assuring Nigerians that the Federal Government would sustain investments in roads, schools, hospitals and other critical infrastructure nationwide.
Speaking at the event, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike described the 28-day commissioning exercise as unprecedented, saying the projects have become the strongest response to critics of the Tinubu administration.
According to him, more than 53 projects have now been completed and commissioned in the FCT under President Tinubu, with at least 10 additional projects expected to be inaugurated before the end of the year.
Wike said the reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road would improve mobility, boost commerce and deepen economic opportunities for residents of Kubwa and surrounding communities.
He also responded to concerns over inadequate water supply by directing the Federal Capital Development Authority to immediately address the challenge, insisting that government must remain responsive to the needs of the people.
Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, described the commissioning as the successful conclusion of an ambitious infrastructure drive that reflects the Tinubu administration’s commitment to improving the quality of life for residents.
She praised President Tinubu for his support of the Renewed Hope Agenda and commended Wike for accelerating project delivery across the FCT, while urging residents to safeguard public infrastructure for future generations.
