United States President Donald Trump has disclosed earning more than $1 billion in 2025, with cryptocurrency emerging as his largest source of income, according to his mandatory annual financial disclosure.
The 927-page report shows Trump earned about $635 million in royalties from his Trump-themed meme coin, despite its sharp decline in value since its launch shortly before he returned to office.
The disclosure also reveals more than $500 million in income from World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency venture founded by his sons alongside the sons of his special envoy, Steve Witkoff.
Beyond cryptocurrency, Trump reported earning millions of dollars from his real estate holdings and sales of Trump-branded merchandise.
The latest filing significantly exceeds the more than $600 million in income he disclosed for 2024, underscoring the growing role of digital assets in his business portfolio.
Responding to criticism, the White House rejected suggestions that the president was profiting from his office.
Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly said Trump’s businesses are held in a trust managed by his sons and insisted neither the president nor his family had engaged in conflicts of interest.
Kelly also said Trump had made the United States “the crypto capital of the world” and maintained that all decisions by the administration are made in the interest of the American people.
Trump has previously argued that he is not bound by federal conflict-of-interest laws. His embrace of cryptocurrency marks a dramatic shift from his earlier stance, having described Bitcoin in 2021 as a “scam” and a “disaster waiting to happen.
