The West African Beach Soccer Union (WABSU) Zone B has officially unveiled its full committee structure, marking a major step toward strengthening and expanding beach soccer across West Africa.
In a statement signed by General Secretary Rasheed Saraki, the body—an affiliate of the African Beach Soccer Union (ABSU)—says the appointments followed extensive consultations with stakeholders across Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, and Nigeria.
At the heart of the structure is a 10-member Technical Committee, which includes Christopher Kadiri, Jelili Ogunmuyiwa, Koffi Boris Kevin Enam, Joseph Kouadjane, Jean-Claude Djobo, Idris Jibril, Sabo Abdullahi Dutse, George Darko, Paul Kwesi Aggrey, and Francis Ebo Turkson. The committee is tasked with driving technical development and setting competitive standards across the zone.
The Competitions Committee, comprising 13 members, will oversee tournament organization and coordination. Members include Mojeed Adegbindin, Abdulkadir Adamu Ja’afar, Steven Lavon, Marius Adika, Davy Anato, Mamadou Dao, Didier Kabletchi, Morrison Gore, Aliyu Umar Agaie, Yaw Gyamfi Kusi Aware, Nana Poku Amankwah, Attiwassorou Johanosky, and Dantekpon Anasthase.
To enhance visibility and stakeholder engagement, the Communications Department features Oluwabusayo Olowookere, Oluwaseun Oyediji, Ibrahim Tanko, Dela Ayite, Jean Claude Togbe, Eugene Kouame Djabia, Theophilius Sampah, Victor Kwame Darko, Ibrahim Abdulhameed, Reuben Dzidodo, Habu Usman, and Sènankpon Pèrez.
The union also emphasized inclusivity with the Women and Youth Development Committee, which includes James Ene Allison, Chukwunonso Arinzechi, Abigail Bado, Herbert Aka, Arlette Bossou, Nicholas Otu Laryea, Daniel Vormawor, Uriel Appienti, Princella Aku Klove, and Yori Florence.
Driving commercial growth, the Marketing and Sponsorship Committee is made up of Abdullahi Yahaya, Angeline N’Gbocho, Olivier Gbale, Sylvester Anim, Philip Sarpong Ankrah, Patrick Donkor, Akanimo King, Sandrine Ezin, and Godson Uti.
Financial governance will be handled by the Finance Committee, comprising Victor Madubuko, Francis Awoefe, Ramata Kone, Arnaud M’Mbahia Yoa, Bernice Houngbeji, Geoffrey Asare Darko, and Adrien Houananinou.
The administrative backbone of the union is the WABSU Zone B Secretariat, with Hermann Madou, Innocent Kwadzo Kumensah, Folashade Johnson, and Awam Okwudili Emmanuel.
At the top level, the Executive Committee includes Yves Mbabia, Rasheed Saraki, Noal Ahoudjo, Henry George Thomson, alongside chairpersons of all standing committees.
Legal oversight will be provided by the Legal Unit, made up of Conforte Sogbossi and Martial Kiniffo.
WABSU Zone B said the newly constituted structure reflects its commitment to professionalism, regional collaboration, and sustainable growth of beach soccer, positioning the sub-region as a key force in the sport’s global development.
