Reports just coming in says Mojisola Meranda has resigned as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The resignation took place at a special plenary on Monday afternoon, where She read out her resignation letter saying: “this is a notice of resignation as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.”
Recall that Meranda mounted the saddle as Speaker on January 13, 2025, following the removal of former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, who reports say, is set for reinstatement.
The resignation has a band wagon effect as all principal officers appointed alongside her also bowed out.
