President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has expressed optimism that the wave of insecurity in Nigeria will soon come to an end.
Akpabio gave the assurance in his Easter message delivered at the Field Major Convention of The Apostolic Church in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.

He acknowledged the pain and loss experienced by many Nigerians, including families of security personnel and victims of attacks in homes, places of worship, markets, and workplaces.
“To such families, please know that your pain is shared by the entire nation. We mourn with you, pray for you, and honour the memory of those whose lives have been cut short,” he said.
The Senate President, however, expressed hope that the Easter season would usher in peace, drawing parallels with the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a symbol of triumph over adversity.

He urged Nigerians to reject division and embrace unity, compassion, and faith in the country’s future.
In his homily, the Field Superintendent of the church, Apostle E. O. Akpan, also expressed confidence that ongoing prayers would lead to peace and development across the country
