The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has hailed Nigerian workers for their resilience and contributions to national development, pledging sustained legislative action to improve their welfare.
In a message marking International Workers’ Day on Friday, Kalu describes the nation’s workforce as the backbone of economic growth, commending their dedication and daily sacrifices in building a stronger Nigeria.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the House to advancing laws that will enhance workers’ welfare, safety, and economic security, stressing that protecting the dignity of labour remains a top legislative priority.
Kalu also expressed optimism about a future where hard work is rewarded and every Nigerian worker has the opportunity to thrive.
He wished Nigerians a happy Workers’ Day and a prosperous new month.
