Nigerians have been urged to embrace environmental responsibility and sustainable living practices as the President of the Customs Officers’ Wives Association COWA, Kikelomo Adeniyi, prepares to lead a climate advocacy walk in Abuja.

The advocacy walk, themed “Walk for a Greener Nigeria,” for May 16, is aimed at deepening climate awareness, promoting cleaner communities, and encouraging collective action toward environmental sustainability across the country.

According to a statement on Wednesday the COWA event, is expected to bring together environmental advocates, volunteers, community stakeholders, and members of the public.

Speaking ahead of the exercise, Adeniyi described environmental sustainability as a shared civic responsibility that requires active public participation and long-term commitment.
