Nigeria continued their dominant run at the 2026 African Nations Cup Volleyball Qualifiers Zone 3 with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Togo on Thursday at the Palace de Sports Treichville in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
The Nigerian side maintained its unbeaten record in the tournament after claiming the contest 25-17, 22-25, 25-15, 25-17, securing a third consecutive win to boost its qualification hopes.
Having opened their campaign with a 3-1 triumph over Niger Republic before sweeping hosts Côte d’Ivoire 3-0, Nigeria once again showed resilience and quality against Togo.
Although they surrendered the second set, the team responded with authority, dominating the third and fourth sets to close out the match in convincing fashion.
The latest victory further underlines Nigeria’s status as one of the standout teams in the Zone 3 qualifiers.
With three wins from three matches, the team heads into its remaining fixtures full of confidence as it continues its pursuit of a place at the 2026 African Nations Cup.
