Former Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as an outstanding statesman and a valuable asset to Nigeria.
In a goodwill message, Lawan, who represented Yobe North Senatorial District, praised Shettima for his capacity, courage and commitment to the unity and progress of the country.
Lawan recalled his experience with Shettima as a colleague in the 9th Senate, where the Vice President represented Borno Central Senatorial District.
He commended Shettima’s mastery of legislative engagement, eloquence and patriotic zeal, noting that his wealth of experience and intellectual depth have continued to contribute to the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
“Today, as you work with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, our leader, to address the complexities of our national rebirth, your wealth of experience and deep intellect remain valuable assets to the administration, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Nigerian people,” Lawan said.
The former Senate President thanked Almighty Allah for Shettima’s life and contributions to the nation, while praying for his continued good health, wisdom and many more years of fruitful service to Nigeria and humanity.
