Nollywood actresses Rachael Okonkwo and Eucharia Anunobi have been appointed as aides to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah.
The appointments were contained in a public announcement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.
According to the statement, Mbah appointed 101 aides across three categories: seven Special Advisers, six Senior Special Assistants and 88 Special Assistants.
Okonkwo, popularly known as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Film and Creative Industry Development.
The actress, who is from Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, is known for her role in the Nkoli Nwa Nsukka film series.
Anunobi was appointed Special Assistant on Women Mobilisation for Enugu-North Zone.
The veteran actress, who rose to prominence in the 1990s, has featured in numerous Nollywood films and later became an evangelist.
Other appointees include aides responsible for inter-party mobilisation, legal and regulatory compliance, economic development, grassroots coordination, commerce and business development.
The new appointments also cover areas including health facility maintenance, environmental protection, youth engagement, civic education, media and grassroots mobilisation.
