Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has urged residents of Kaduna State to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, alongside Governor Uba Sani and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has urged residents of Kaduna State to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, alongside Governor Uba Sani and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates.
Abbas made the appeal on Sunday during project commissioning and groundbreaking ceremonies across Kubau and Ikara Local Government Areas of Kaduna State, where he highlighted ongoing development initiatives facilitated in the communities.
According to a statement by his media adviser, Musa Kirishi, the Speaker called on residents to sustain their support for the APC, linking the party’s leadership to infrastructure development and improved public services in the state.
Abbas said he had facilitated 86 projects across Kaduna North Senatorial District, including healthcare and educational facilities in Kubau and Ikara.
In Kubau, he commissioned a primary healthcare centre in Zabi and laid the foundation for a study centre and hall for the National Open University of Nigeria in Anchau.
He also commissioned a block of 10 classrooms, with offices and toilets, as well as a library in Kargi.
In Ikara, the Speaker commissioned a primary healthcare centre and flagged off the construction of a road linking Sani Ahmed Junction to Central Primary School.
He also performed the groundbreaking for another National Open University study centre and hall, alongside a 10-classroom block.
The lawmaker disclosed that Kubau and Ikara could each benefit from an additional 18 to 20 projects in the 2027 national budget, subject to approval by President Tinubu.
Abbas also charged contractors handling the projects to adhere to approved designs and use quality materials, warning against sacrificing durability for quick profits.
“We are not building for an inspection. We are building for a generation,” he said.
The Speaker said the projects were intended to deliver lasting benefits to residents, particularly through improved access to healthcare, education and road infrastructure.
