DataPro has moved to strengthen risk management capacity across Nigeria’s financial sector by equipping professionals with advanced skills in enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance and strategic decision-making.
The training programme, which began in Lagos on Monday and runs from August 3 to 7, 2026, is designed to help financial institutions build stronger risk management systems, improve governance and respond effectively to emerging regulatory and business challenges.
According to the company, participants will gain practical and technical expertise in enterprise-wide risk management, with a focus on integrating credit, market, operational, compliance and liquidity risks into a unified risk management framework.
The programme will also provide hands-on training in key areas, including IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss modelling, Value-at-Risk, Economic Value of Equity, Basel III and IV compliance, and the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Risk-Based Supervision framework.
DataPro said the initiative would support organisations in developing proactive risk management cultures, strengthening governance structures and improving long-term business sustainability through practical simulations and stress-testing exercises.
The curriculum covers enterprise risk governance and strategy, credit risk management, operational risk, market and liquidity risk, asset and liability management, climate-related risks, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence governance and macroeconomic stress testing.
The programme is targeted at Chief Risk Officers, Risk Managers, Compliance Officers, finance and treasury professionals, Internal Auditors, senior executives and board members seeking to strengthen enterprise-wide risk governance and improve regulatory compliance.
Established in 1995, DataPro is one of Nigeria’s three licensed credit rating agencies and a provider of compliance, risk management and capacity-building services across Africa.
The company said it has trained professionals from more than 70 per cent of Nigeria’s banks and non-bank financial institutions and maintains partnerships with regulatory and professional bodies across the continent.
DataPro added that its industry experience and technical expertise have positioned it to provide training that prepares institutions to navigate an increasingly dynamic regulatory and business environment.
