By Oluwakemi Kindness

Democracy Radio 104.9 FM, a department of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), has presented umbrellas, raincoats and reflective jackets to Urban Security Services Ltd, the company providing security services for the Institute.

The items were presented by the Director of Administration and Human Resources (DAHR), Musbau Moshood, on behalf of Democracy Radio, and received by the Operations Manager of Urban Security Services Ltd, Zainab Lawal.

Speaking on the purpose of the initiative, the General Manager of Democracy Radio, Benjamin Ubiri, said the items were provided to support security personnel during the rainy season and improve their ability to assist members of staff.

Ubiri explained that the umbrellas and rain gear would enable security operatives to escort staff members who park their vehicles far from the Institute’s main entrance, including those accessing the premises through the rear gate.

According to him, the initiative is aimed at easing the movement of staff within the Institute during rainfall while improving the working conditions of security personnel.

He added that providing the materials would enhance the effectiveness of the security operatives and strengthen their capacity to offer better support to staff and visitors.

The presentation reflects Democracy Radio’s commitment to supporting the welfare of personnel and promoting improved service delivery within NILDS.
