By Oluwakemi Kindness

Thousands of vulnerable residents in Ogun State are expected to benefit from a fresh food support initiative as First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, launches the zonal National Community Food Bank programme in the state today.

The launch will take place in Makun, Sagamu, where food items will be distributed to indigent and vulnerable households.

The initiative is part of the Federal Government’s broader social intervention efforts aimed at supporting Nigerians facing economic hardship.

Tinubu will also commission the 108-unit Muhammadu Buhari Estate at Kobape, Abeokuta.

Another key event on her itinerary is the commissioning of the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a 250-bed hospital designed to provide advanced healthcare services to residents of Ogun and neighboring communities.

She will later meet with major stakeholders at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta.

The visit will also provide an opportunity for the Federal and Ogun State governments to strengthen cooperation in social welfare, housing and healthcare delivery.
