NVBF Super Cup 2025 Tips Off in Commanding Style

The NVBF Super Cup Tournament 2025 burst into life on Day 1 with a series of dominant performances, signaling a fiercely competitive road ahead in Nigeria’s premier volleyball showcase.

In the men’s category, the Nigeria Correctional Service set the early pace with a resilient 3–0 win over Ajase Ipo.

The opening set was a thriller, stretching to 28–26, before the Correctional Service side asserted control to close out the match 25–17, 25–23.

The Nigeria Customs Service also made a strong statement, sweeping past Life Camp 3–0 with composed displays across all sets (25–21, 25–18, 25–23), underlining their credentials as serious contenders.

Action in the women’s competition was equally decisive.

COAS Spikers delivered a confident performance to defeat the Fire Service 3–0, pulling away after a competitive first set (25–21) to dominate the remaining sets 25–12 and 25–16.

The day concluded with a straightforward victory for CNS Spikers, who recorded a 3–0 result against Excelsior after the latter were unable to present a complete squad, resulting in three straight 25–0 sets.

Day 1 of the NVBF Super Cup 2025 laid a compelling foundation for the tournament, combining high-level competition with clear statements of intent from early frontrunners.

With momentum building and tougher fixtures ahead, the Super Cup promises thrilling volleyball action in the days to come.
