NBSL Postpones Round Two of 2026 Season

By Arinzechi Chukwunonso

The Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) has announced the postponement of Round Two of its 2026 season, which was initially scheduled to hold from April 10 to 12.

According to the league management, the decision was taken in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government and the Kaduna State Beach Soccer Association to ensure improved hosting arrangements and a better overall experience for all stakeholders.

While expressing regret over any inconvenience caused to fans, partners, participating teams, and officials, the league stressed that the postponement is in the best interest of the competition and its successful delivery.

The NBSL also confirmed that Kaduna State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to hosting the second round, with preparations already in top gear.

Teams have therefore been advised to continue their preparations as a new date will be communicated in due course.

Meanwhile, Kada Beach Soccer Club (BSC) leads the standings after an impressive showing in Round One, which was held in Birnin Kebbi earlier in March.

Further updates on the rescheduled fixtures are expected to be announced by the league management.
