Matchday 15 of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership delivered late drama, narrow wins and closely contested fixtures, as the race for top spots intensified across centres.
In Lagos, Robo Queens secured a 2-0 victory over Abia Angels with two late goals. Rodiat Yusuf opened scoring in the 86th minute, while Opeyemi Ajakaye added a second in stoppage time.
Ekiti Queens recorded a comfortable 2-0 win against Pacesetter Queens in Ado Ekiti, with Joke Adeyemi scoring early in the second half before Winifred Eyebhoria converted a late penalty.
Remo Stars Ladies and Sunshine Queens played out a 1-1 draw in Ikenne, while Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens settled for a goalless draw in Port Harcourt.
Edo Queens maintained their strong form with a 2-0 win over Naija Ratels in Benin City, and Dannaz Ladies edged Confluence Queens 1-0 in Iyahmo.
Osun Babes also claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Nasarawa Amazons, while Delta Queens defeated Ahudiyannem Queens 2-1 in Asaba, with a late winner sealing the contest.
Elsewhere, the fixture between Ibom Angels and Heartland Queens was suspended due to heavy rainfall, with both sides level at 0-0 before the interruption.
Matchday 15 once again highlighted the competitiveness of the NWFL Premiership, with late goals and fine margins proving decisive.
