Chelsea have sacked head coach Liam Rosenior after less than four months in charge, following a disappointing run of results that left the club struggling for form in the Premier League.
Rosenior, who signed a long-term deal after arriving from Strasbourg, managed just 11 wins in 23 matches across all competitions. His final game in charge ended in a 3–0 defeat to Brighton, a result that marked Chelsea’s fifth consecutive league match without scoring.
The club described the decision as difficult but necessary, citing performances that fell below expectations despite still having key competitions to play for this season.
Assistant coach Calum McFarlane has been appointed interim manager and will oversee the team for the remainder of the campaign.
Chelsea currently sit seventh in the Premier League, with Champions League qualification under threat. Attention now turns to potential long-term replacements, with several names already linked to the role.
