The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has activated the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) change of institution and course process for candidates seeking to modify their admission preferences.
The announcement was made on Friday in a notice issued by the Board’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, via X.
According to the statement, candidates who wish to change their institution or programme of choice are required to visit any approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre nationwide to complete the process.
“Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme of choice may now proceed to do so by visiting any of the Board’s approved CBT centres. Applicants are advised to visit any accredited CBT centre to effect the changes,” the statement read.
JAMB also disclosed that printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will commence on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The Board advised candidates to visit accredited CBT centres for the printing of their result slips and access to other related services.
The development comes weeks after JAMB released the 2026 UTME results while temporarily restricting candidates to checking their scores through SMS pending the release of the official result slips.
The latest move is expected to provide candidates with an opportunity to adjust their admission choices based on their UTME performance and preferred institutions’ requirements.
