Tinubu Mourns Amaechi’s Mother At 89

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Dame Amaechi, the mother of former Rivers State Governor and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

Dame Amaechi passed away at the age of 89.

In a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu describes the late matriarch as a woman of unwavering faith whose life was defined by love, sacrifice, and selfless service.

He commends her steadfast devotion to the Catholic faith, her strong family values, and her commitment to raising children who have contributed significantly to public service.

The President says Dame Amaechi embodied kindness, humility, and perseverance, virtues that earned her the respect and admiration of all who knew her.

Tinubu urges the Amaechi family to take solace in the enduring legacy of faith, dignity, and service she leaves behind, noting that her contributions to her family, the Catholic Church, and society would remain a lasting source of inspiration.

He also extended his heartfelt condolences to Rotimi Amaechi, the entire Amaechi family, and all those mourning the loss of the revered matriarch, praying for the peaceful repose of her soul.
