JAMB Set for Leadership Change as Oloyede Hands Over

By Zainab Bakare

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced that its outgoing Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, will formally hand over to his successor, Professor Segun Aina, on Friday.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, JAMB says the handover ceremony would hold by 10am and would be broadcast live on its official social media platforms.

The transition marks the end of Oloyede’s tenure and the official commencement of Aina’s leadership of the examination body.

President Bola Tinubu appointed Aina, a Professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, to succeed Oloyede.

Aina has expertise in digital infrastructure, examination systems and institutional reforms. He has also advised government institutions and examination bodies, including NECO and NABTEB, on ICT systems and examination integrity.

The Presidency says it expects the incoming registrar to build on reforms introduced under Oloyede and further strengthen JAMB’s operations.
