Nollywood actress Adunni Ade is mourning the loss of her mother following a prolonged illness.
The actress announced her mother’s death on Monday in an emotional tribute shared on her official Instagram page, alongside photographs of the deceased.
Expressing her grief, Ade wrote, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” meaning, “Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.”
She described the loss as painful but expressed her submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
Ade noted that her mother is survived by children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones who will continue to cherish her memory.
Praying for her late mother, the actress asked Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her mercy, illuminate her grave and admit her into Al-Jannah Firdaus.
She also prayed for strength, patience and comfort for the family as they navigate the difficult period of grief.
Ade added that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
