The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a massive stash of imported Loud cannabis worth over N5.8 billion in a Lekki mansion.
This is as tge agency also arrested three persons with disabilities (PWDs) in separate drug trafficking operations across Anambra and Kwara states.
Chairman of the NDLEA, Mohamed Buba-Marwa, in a statement on Sunday commended officers involved in the operations.
The statement by NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, qoutes Marwa as urging commands across the country to sustain the momentum in drug supply reduction and sensitisation activities.

The statement said operatives of the NDLEA Special Operations Unit raided the Lekki Phase 1 mansion on Friday, recovering 4,000 parcels of Loud, a strong strain of imported cannabis, weighing 2,326 kilograms.
He said the illicit drugs, recovered from the house located at 36 African Lane, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, have an estimated street value of over N5.815 billion.
Also recovered from the mansion were two Mercedes-Benz buses and designer sachets allegedly used for retail drug distribution.
Three Persons With Disabilities Arrested for Drug Trafficking

In Anambra State, Babafemi said NDLEA operatives arrested 60-year-old Romanus Nwabara at Akpaka Forest, Onitsha, following intelligence reports linking him to drug trafficking activities.
He was found with 250 grams of skunk packaged in retail sachets.


In another raid at Ogbunike area of Anambra State, operatives arrested 25-year-old Amos Kenneth with 160.3 grams of Tramadol 225mg and 100mg, 80 pills of Diazepam, 38.23 grams of Exol 5, and 176.93 grams of skunk.
In Kwara State, he said officers on patrol along Bode Saadu intercepted a commercial vehicle and discovered 6.3 kilograms of skunk concealed inside a brown school bag belonging to another PWD suspect identified as Usman Salisu.
NDLEA Busts Skuchies Factory in Lagos

Babafemi said in a separate operation at Ijora Badia area of Lagos, NDLEA officers raided a makeshift skuchies production factory where two suspects, Bose Jamiu and Gbenga Gege, were arrested.
The suspects were reportedly caught cooking cannabis and mixing it with other illicit substances.
Recovered from the factory were 270 litres of already produced skuchies and 106 grams of Tramadol 225mg.
766kg of Skunk Recovered on Abuja-Bound Bus
Meanwhile, NDLEA operatives along the Okene-Lokoja highway in Kogi State intercepted a white commuter J5 bus heading to Abuja.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 76 jumbo bags of skunk weighing 766 kilograms.
Three suspects, Mathew Omohove, Ebuka Desmond, and Babangida Musa, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
In Nasarawa State, operatives also arrested Emmanuel Osita Okeke, 38, with 129 kilograms of skunk at Nyanya Karu.
