Popular TikTok content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has hinted that he may quit school after just gaining admission, citing concerns that spending long hours in class is affecting his income-generating activities.
In a voice note shared with his followers on Tuesday, Peller expressed frustration over attending lectures without making money, suggesting he may no longer return to school.
According to him, sitting through several hours of lectures without earning income was not something he was willing to continue.
He also said he felt uncomfortable in class, claiming he was the youngest student among his peers.
While he said he was not completely abandoning education, Peller noted that he would rather return to school later in life, possibly in his 30s or 40s, adding that he was already feeling exhausted by the experience.
The comments mark a sharp reversal from his recent excitement over gaining admission to study law at a private university in Lagos State.
Over the weekend, a video of the TikTok star announcing his admission went viral, although he did not disclose the name of the institution.
In the viral clip, Peller appeared to respond to critics who had repeatedly mocked his educational background, declaring that he was now educated and knowledgeable about the law.
The influencer has faced sustained criticism online over his grammar and level of formal education, with some social media users labelling him “uneducated.”
Earlier this month, he revealed plans to further his education, saying the decision was partly aimed at improving his spoken English.
Peller has also remained in the public eye in recent weeks following controversy surrounding the visit of American streamer IShowSpeed to Nigeria.
