The United States Mission in Nigeria has described veteran Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs as a legendary performer whose career crossed borders and generations.
In a statement shared on Tuesday, the Mission said Jacobs’ career extended beyond Nigeria, including appearances in American productions, before he became one of the defining voices of Nigerian cinema.
The Mission said his legacy would live on through the stories he told and the generations of artists he inspired.
It expressed condolences to Nigerians and the global creative community, concluding its message with: “Rest in peace, Olu Jacobs.”
