The Chairman of the Forum of National Youth Leaders of All Political Parties in Nigeria, Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu, has called on the Federal Government to implement the resolutions of the 2026 National Youth Conference.
Chukwu also called for a mechanism to track the implementation of the resolutions and measure progress after the conference.
He made the call while speaking as Special Guest of Honour at the virtual opening ceremony of the conference.
Chukwu said the success of the conference should be measured by what happens after it, rather than the number of participants or recommendations produced.
He urged stakeholders to assign responsibility for implementing the resolutions, set clear timelines and monitor progress.
Chukwu said the conference should produce practical responses to challenges affecting young Nigerians, including unemployment, digital skills development, political inclusion and national unity.
According to him young Nigerians must have a meaningful role in addressing issues that affect the country’s development.
The youth leader also urged young political leaders to put national interests above partisan differences.
He said political differences should not undermine national unity or prevent stakeholders from addressing challenges facing young people.
Chukwu commended President Bola Tinubu and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development for providing a platform for young Nigerians to contribute to discussions on the country’s development.
